Blunk Microsystems' high performance embedded network protocol stack TargetTCP™ has been ready certified for IPsec and IPv6 Phase 2.

San Jose, CA (February 11, 2010) Blunk Microsystems, LLC, a leader in embedded software and development tools, announces that TargetTCP™ has received IPv6 Ready certification by the IPv6Ready Organization (www.ipv6ready.org) for IPsec and Phase 2 Core Protocols. TargetTCP is a complete TCP/IP protocol stack designed for performance, reliability and security. Source licensed to embedded developers and designers, TargetTCP IPv4/IPv6 includes compile time support for over 30 network protocols.

The IPv6 Ready organizations' Phase 2 Core Protocol testing framework is industry standard in conformance testing for IPv6, the next generation internet protocol. TargetTCP IPv6 is an OS integrated IPv6 implementation designed and engineered exclusively for TargetTCP to ensure Blunk's tradition of industry leading network performance. By leveraging the skills of the IPv6 Ready organization, the TargetTCP IPv6 solution is ready for FIPS 140 validation by embracing all the security algorithms and best practice methodologies required.

Phase 2 IPsec support introduces IPsec Authentication Header (AH) and Encapsulated Security Protocol (ESP) to TargetTCP. Utilizing a common security subsystem with TargetTLS, Blunk's TLS/SSL security solution, TargetIPsec applies confidentiality, integrity and authentication to targeted network traffic. TargetIPsec includes a fast lookup hash table for security policies and associations with both a shell command line and C API for boot and/or runtime security policy changes.

TargetTCP is integrated and tested with Blunk file systems such as TargetFFS to ensure an optimized turnkey system solution is delivered to our customers all over the world.

"We provide high-speed recording system with 320GB flash, recording at the speed of 800 MB/sec, using 6 VME boards, based on high-throughput DSP chipset called TriMedia. These systems support 6 cameras at 200 frames per second, installed by NASA on space shuttles, to take pictures as the shuttle takes off. Image resolutions are very high, so the details on how the orbiter separates from fuel tank is recorded dynamically. The system is also used in recording Stage 1 to Stage 2 separation, using checkerboard patterns. We use Blunk's networking stack, file systems, and web server. Blunk products are mature. The source code is clean, easy to understand. Blunk's support is good. And their library is great for me. I don't want to know the internals of these components, so using Blunk library takes care of that."
