Blunk announces new Kernel Benchmarks
San Jose, CA, February 28, 2013 - Blunk Microsystems has released new cross-CPU kernel benchmarks for TargetOS™ showing results for various ARM, ColdFire, Nios II, and Power Architecture platforms. The measurements were made using kbench, one of the standard applications included with TargetOS. Bundling the benchmark application with TargetOS allows you to repeat the measurements on the target that matters most – your board – once it is running a TargetOS board support package.
The benchmark measures all standard RTOS operations – posting and pending semaphores, messages, and events – both in the cases that do not block and in those that result in a context switch. The results are available here.
