TargetCIFS™
Common Internet File System
Features
Supports file sharing between Windows/Linux hosts and embedded targets running one of Blunk’s embedded file systems.
Integrated with TargetOS™, Blunk Microsystems’ real-time operating system, using its high-performance zero-copy TCP/IP stack and POSIX-compliant file systems.
Allows the Windows File Explorer and command line shells to browse files on embedded targets, transversing directories and reading/writing files.
Compatibility tested with Windows as well as Linux and Unix systems using various underlying file systems such as TargetXFS.
CIFS lacks security and so is suitable only for use in small local area networks. Ideal for use with link-local IP addresses that are never routed to the Internet.
CSFS is supported by Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux.
Compliant Implementation based on:
-
- Common Internet File System (CIFS)
- NetBIOS/SMBv1
