Summary of the Standard Software Platform License

Blunk Microsystems™ software components are offered under a Standard Software Platform License.

Benefits:

• Source Code for Product Development
• Royalty-free Distribution of Executable Code on Designated Platform(s)
• One Year of Technical Support

Development: This license allows users to use the source code in developing a single designated platform. A platform is defined by the following three criteria:

• Brand name
• CPU/Microcontroller used
• General description of the end-product

A platform license supports different ordering options but the underlying firmware must be essentially the same. Source code may be used at multiple sites as long as it is being used directly and only for the development of the platform specified in the license agreement.

Distribution: The executable code may be released only with the product(s) derived from the designated platform. Executable Code is a fully compiled and linked program that contains any code derived from the Software. It can no longer be altered or combined with any other code. Executable code is ready to be executed by a computer and is essentially a complete software image for use in specific product(s). The source code and derived object code may not be redistributed or resold.

Support: The Standard Software Platform License includes one year of technical support. This includes a full year of free updates and upgrades, answers to technical questions via phone or email, and additional documentation as requested. Each additional year of technical support is 25% of the original license fee, to be renewed on or prior to support expiration date. A copy of the complete license agreement is available upon request. Several other license models are also offered based upon customer’s use and distribution requirements, including an annual subscription model.
